Camden's recipe for Mac & Cheese

I got so tickled last night at Camden. I was fixing dinner and Camden was watching. We were having crab cakes (krabby patties), onion rings and green beans. Camden was fine with everything except he wanted macaroni and cheese too. He had picked out this "Cars" mac & cheese a couple weeks ago and wanted to make that. I told him that was fine except he had to help cook it. On the side of the box, there are picture instructions so kids can help. So, this is how he read the instructions to me:

3 cups of milk (supposed to be 3 tbsp)
1 slice of butter (supposed to 1/2 tbsp)
Put the noodles in the water and cook
Drown the noodles (drain)
Mix together
Enjoy your Macaroni and Cheese!

Hilarious!!

Memories

Memories are priceless. I have so many good memories from growing up and many of them are from my Grandparents' and being at their houses with my cousins. I was thinking about that the other day when Camden was spending so much time at Grandma and Papa's house with Carter and Riley (wish Brookie could have been there too!). He is going to keep these memories forever and look back on them when he has kids of his own one day. Here are a couple that I want to remember.

Riding the 4-wheeler with Carter & Riley (which is new--I haven't let him do this before--but Carter is very safe with them).

Mom & Dad got a new TV last week. Dad and Mark were hanging the TV on the wall and the next thing I knew, Dad had put Camden & Riley in the TV box! Of course they loved it and didn't want to get out.

They also took a trip to the pool after Bible School one day last week.

It's the little things that count.

Bible School fun

Camden went to Bible School at Sedalia Church last week. He had a blast and I was glad he got to go (thanks Mom & Jordan for taking him). They go all out for Bible School and decorate every surface of the church. I don't have a lot of the pictures that Mom took so I'll post them later. Specifically the Crazy Hair day pictures!

Here is one of Riley & Camden in the kitchen at church.

Friday night was Commencement and I was a little nervous about how Camden would do. He has gotten stage fright in the past. He did so well and I was so proud of him. He stood in the very front and sang his little heart out and did all of the motions. After they sang, there was a big Carnival outside and he had so much fun running from activity to activity. His favorite parts were the cotton candy (he had 3) and Teddy Spaghetti (who made things out of balloons). We stayed very late and on the way home, Camden kept giggling to himself. I'm so glad he had a great time!! He talked about all weekend!

Priceless

I took Camden to Mom's this morning so she could take him to Bible "Camp" (I have to call it Camp instead of School so Camden would go! ). Carter and Riley were also there because Mark had to work. So, when we go to her house, Carter and Riley were in the bed with Mom watching cartoons and Camden climbed right in. As soon as I grabbed my camera, Mom climbed out and this is the picture I took. These memories are priceless!

Picnic Fun!

We went on a Picnic at the Peak's yesterday! It was very hot and the bugs were bad so we ate quickly and then went walking.

We had a little visitor while we ate lunch.

We started walking Sharp Top but didn't go very far. I hope that we can plan another trip soon and go all the way to the top!!

Camden's first "pet"

Camden caught a Lightning Bug last night and wanted to keep it as a pet. He named it Rex. We took it inside and put it in a jar and poked airholes in the top. He watched that bug for a long time last night and kept saying it was so cute. However, Rex didn't make it through the night. RIP!

Brooke's 2nd birthday!

We celebrated Brooke's 2nd birthday over the weekend. The kids had a blast playing with all the toys/games Abby & Mike had ready and waiting. I can't believe Brookie-Brooke is 2 already! Where does the time go?
This was Camden's first ever tattoo!! He needs a hair-cut which hopefully we'll get tonight.

Camden loved the bouncy-house!!

What a serious little face! Such a cutie!

Surprise visitor! Brooke was so excited and Camden was excited at first until he realized it and said this: "I know there's somebody else in there".

4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July! We started the day at the pool and pretty much enjoyed the entire pool to ourselves. Camden had fun playing with Hunter.

It was also Mom's birthday so we met her and Dad at Applebee's for dinner. We took a few pictures after we ate.

After we ate, we went to watch the fireworks. Camden had a blast and we kept laughing at the funny things he compared them too (he said one of the fireworks looked like bananas). It was a wonderful day and I loved spending time with my family!
Camden said something funny that I want to remember. He is obsessed with Transformers. We were on the way somewhere Saturday and he saw a yellow sports car. He said: "Look--Bumblebee. We're so lucky to have a Transformer live in our town". It was the funniest thing!

New playset

Camden's new playset finally came in last week. It came in 2 small boxes so we were skeptical at first but it turned out to be pretty big! It took Russell, Dad and Mark 2 full evenings to put it together (thanks, yall)! Camden loves it and plays on it everyday! Now we just need to get something for the bottom and we'll be finished!
