First 5k

I ran in my first 5k today. I have been nervous about this all week because I've only been training for 2 weeks. It was freezing cold this morning but it was so much fun to be around everyone before the race started. Once they said "go", we were on our way. Luckily, this was a mostly flat course which was helpful. I surprised myself by not getting tired or winded early. I think I ran until just about the half way mark and stopped to get a bit of water. I then ran fully until about mile 2.5 and I walked for about 100 yards or so. At that point, the finish line was in sight and I could hear people cheering. I finished in 37 minutes, 20 seconds. I was 222 out of 459. I'm certainly pleased with that considering it was my very first race! I'm thankful for dear friends and family that were great support! I can't wait to do the next race!!!

Sweet boys!

I think I have the sweetest boys ever! Just look at these sweet little faces!

They melt my heart everything I look at them! Wish I could freeze time right now and keep them little because time is going by too fast.

Camden is turning into such a little man. I'm amazed everyday at how smart he is and what he is learning at school. He is very close to learning how to read by himself. He always asks us how to spell certain words (tonight it was chicken nuggets and spongebob--lol). He loves school and I'm so glad he does. He especially loves the food (??) and eats breakfast and lunch there even if he eats breakfast at home. We're about to give up fighting that battle and will just let him eat at school I think. Football is now over and we have a small break then he is going to start basketball in a couple weeks.

Collin is now 5 months old and growing like crazy. He had his first solids a few weeks ago but he still loves his bottle best. Camden could have cared less about his bottle but Collin is very attached--he even cries when he finishes! So far, he likes applesauce, peaches and peas. At his 4 month appointment, he weighed 13 pounds and he doesn't seem to have gained much since then. He has rolled over a few times but his most favorite thing is trying to stand up. I'm convinced he's just going to start walking one day (forget crawling)! He sleeps from about 8:00/8:30-6:00/6:30 but wakes up a few times for his pacifier during the night. I'll take that!

It seems as though every day is a rush so I'm trying to enjoy these little priceless moments!

Collin's new friend

Collin has a new friend! Pierce was born on October 3rd and is sooooo precious! We took Collin to visit his friend on Sunday. It's hard to believe that Collin was even smaller than Pierce when he was born--time flies by and look at him now!

Collin & Pierce - 5 months and 1 week

It's going to be fun to watch them grow up together and hopefully they will be perfect angels like their daddy's!! Yeah, ok, we're going to have to keep our eyes on them!! :)

Time flies...

Well, it's been a few months since my last post and a lot happened in those months. We had a baby, Camden started kindergarten, we had a baby, Camden played football and they practiced 4 nights a week and oh, we had a baby. What little free time I had before the baby is all gone now! Collin is almost 5 months old now and Camden is settled into his kindergarten routine and football is almost over. Anyway, instead of re-capping everything that has happened the last few months, I'm going to start fresh with posting and I'm going to do better! Check back often!
