Yay! Our driveway is finally finished!!! They finished paving yesterday and it looks good!

Now I just need my trees to be planted up the sides of the driveway and we'll be in business!!

Baseball

Camden started Baseball lessons (?) a few weeks ago. He really likes baseball and does a good job when he sets his mind to it. We have 1 more week left and then it's over until next year when he will probably play T-ball.

Here are a couple pictures from yesterday.

From the weekend....

Wow--it has been a crazy week at work. That's about all I'm going to say about it.

We had a good weekend last weekend. I got a very cute picture of Camden after his swimming lesson. We went to the Dollar Store and he found a Pirate set (love that Dollar Store!). It was a cute picture that I took in the car.

Later on, we took Camden to his best friend's birthday party. Camden was so excited all day!! His friend loves Scooby Doo.

Looking forward to a long weekend coming up. I hope to relax instead of rushing around like crazy!!!

Mother's Day Weekend

This might be a lengthy post as we had a very busy Mother's Day weekend. On Friday, Russell, Camden & I participated in the Amherst Relay for Life event. I had never been to one of these but found it to be a lot of fun! Camden had such a great time and was so well behaved. He loved the music and was dancing around in our tent! They had a lot of activities for kids which was great!! The only part he didn't like was the fireworks, he said they gave him a headache. We stayed late to hear Russell's co-worker sing but the weather turned bad so we left. It was a late night though!!

On Saturday afternoon we went to the mall for a while and then met Russell's family for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day. That was a lot of fun and the food was great!!!

On Sunday, Russell and Camden fixed me breakfast in bed, which was a pleasant surprise!! I was getting ready to head downstairs to eat and Camden came upstairs with 2 cards and Russell was right behind him with a tray of food (complete with eggs, bacon, biscuits and fruit--my favorite)!! Camden was so tickled to have a "picnic" in the bed!! Russell gave me 2 Sugarland CD's too!! I was so excited because we're going to see Sugarland in concert at the end of June (Russell got me tickets for my birthday)! I had just mentioned that I needed to learn the songs so I could sing along at the concert!!! I spent the rest of the morning fighting tears and feeling so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and son!

I was able to get a few pictures of Camden before church (needed to get them before he got dirty). He loves his belt that Carter gave him!!

Another good thing--we have some grass growing--YAY!! Russell has been working on this grass for 3 years!!! Now if we can just get the driveway paving finished, get my trees planted and get Camden's play set, we'll be all set!

We went to the Peaks of Otter later that afternoon for a Picnic with Mom, Dad, Mike, Abby and Brookie (Mark had to work and we missed them)!! The picnic was fun and Camden and Brooke had a blast (I don't know who got more boo-boo's though)!! After we ate and played a little bean bag toss (is that the name of that game?), we walked around the lake. Of course we stopped at the rock to take pictures.

Guess who we ran into while walking around the lake? Camden's best friend Kody!!!! Camden was so excited to see him (can you tell from the picture?).

It was the perfect weekend and I'm sad to see it end!!

Mother's Day Tea

Camden's school held a Mother's Day Tea today. It was a very sweet little brunch and I had a great time. They gave us the cutest flower pots decorated by the kids. The kids also sang a couple cute songs: I'm a little Tea Pot and Mommy Loves Me (sang to the tune of Jesus Loves Me). It was so sweet! Of course Camden thought he was leaving with me when I left so it was hard to leave him there so I could go to work :(

Cheese!!!

Prom

We went to see Jordan and her boyfriend Ryan all dressed up for Prom last night. They looked so great!! Jordan looked beautiful in her yellow dress. Here is a quick picture...

Dental Surgery

Camden had dental surgery on Friday to fix a couple of this teeth. He did so well and I was so proud of him!! He had a big cavity that needed fixing and this was the best way. Teeth are hereditary and there wasn't anything we could have done to prevent this. Still, I hated it!!

We had to be at the hospital at 5:45 am on Friday. They took very good care of Camden and made sure he was comfortable with SpongeBob on TV and they even let him play a Nintendo DS (which he really wants). The most traumatic part was watching them put him to sleep -- that was awful, especially when his eyes rolled back! It happened very quickly and they let me stay in the room while they did this. Once he was asleep, I turned around and looked at Melisa and she had the biggest tears in her eyes (she was the hygenist and was able to be in the room during the procedure)!! I was ok until I left the room--that's when it hit me. Anyway, Camden did perfectly and didn't cry the first time! He got a little sick on the way home but overall, he did great!! We were home by 12:00 and Camden was vegging on the sofa watching TV.

I feel so blessed that Camden is healthy and we don't have to visit hospitals often.

This was while he was still asleep. I don't get too many pictures while he sleeping cause he only sleeps at night!
