Camden's version of "I'm going out with my boots on"

Camden's current favorite song is "I'm going out with my boots on" by Randy Houser. It all started when we were in the car and he wanted to listen to my ringtones on my phone. After about 50 times of hearing that song, I plugged headphones into my phone and he jammed away! I bought him the CD (so he could sing the whole song) and I found his CD player and he listened to that song about a million times over the weekend.

The funniest part is listening to him sing that song (and he bobs his head to the tune). Here is his version (chorous only):

With my dirty old hat
My crooked little grin
Granny beaded neck (which is the right words but I don't get it)
And my COW STAND (supposed to be calloused hands),
My muddy pair of jeans
With a Copenhagen ring
HEY YALL
I'm gonna laugh with my boots on (supposed to be "I'm going out with my boots on").

My cute little cowboy!!

My sweet boy...

I've somehow caught a summer cold :( I started feeling bad Monday night and felt bad all day yesterday and feel even work today. After Camden & I got home and had dinner, I laid on the sofa until bedtime (which is not like me).

Camden was so sweet taking care of me. He kept asking me if I was sick and if I was feeling better. I told him I was sick and he said "I'll bring you something to cheer you up". He brought me mini Oreo's, Teddy Grahams, a water pouch (Capri Sun flavored water-the best thing ever for kids) and one of my scrapbook albums. He gave me plently of love to make me feel better! What a sweet little boy!

Wet N' Wild

Camden & I went to Wet N' Wild with Grandma, Papa, Carter & Riley on Wednesday. Camden had a blast and so did we! We rode a lot of the rides and spent basically 8 hours in the water. Camden loved the water rides--at least the ones he was tall enough to ride. His favorite was the small water slide that he and Riley rode by themselves and then the larger version of that same ride that Riley, Camden and I rode together. He also rode the big one with just Carter so he thought he was big stuff. He also liked the Lagoon and Wave pool and he swam all over the place there.

We stopped riding long enough to eat a quick picnic lunch and then went right back to riding. I think the only time we took pictures was during the lunch but I haven't gotten them from Mom yet.

We had so much fun and I can't wait to go back!!!

Camden's recipe for Mac & Cheese

I got so tickled last night at Camden. I was fixing dinner and Camden was watching. We were having crab cakes (krabby patties), onion rings and green beans. Camden was fine with everything except he wanted macaroni and cheese too. He had picked out this "Cars" mac & cheese a couple weeks ago and wanted to make that. I told him that was fine except he had to help cook it. On the side of the box, there are picture instructions so kids can help. So, this is how he read the instructions to me:

3 cups of milk (supposed to be 3 tbsp)
1 slice of butter (supposed to 1/2 tbsp)
Put the noodles in the water and cook
Drown the noodles (drain)
Mix together
Enjoy your Macaroni and Cheese!

Hilarious!!

Memories

Memories are priceless. I have so many good memories from growing up and many of them are from my Grandparents' and being at their houses with my cousins. I was thinking about that the other day when Camden was spending so much time at Grandma and Papa's house with Carter and Riley (wish Brookie could have been there too!). He is going to keep these memories forever and look back on them when he has kids of his own one day. Here are a couple that I want to remember.

Riding the 4-wheeler with Carter & Riley (which is new--I haven't let him do this before--but Carter is very safe with them).

Mom & Dad got a new TV last week. Dad and Mark were hanging the TV on the wall and the next thing I knew, Dad had put Camden & Riley in the TV box! Of course they loved it and didn't want to get out.

They also took a trip to the pool after Bible School one day last week.

It's the little things that count.
