Let it snow!!!

We got 13" of snow last night! It's been many years since I've seen snow like this. It's so pretty but it also stresses me out (cause I still have to go to work on Monday). Camden loved it and had so much fun playing in it today. He would have stayed out there all day if we let him. He never once complained he was cold!!

Holiday fun!

We've had a busy couple weeks since the Holidays have arrived! It started with Thanksgiving Day and then right into Black Friday, UVA vs VT game and decorating for the holidays. Things have calmed down a little bit but I doubt it will stay calm for long! I don't mind -- this is my favorite time of the year.

This past weekend, we went to the Big Island Parade. This was my favorite day growing up because after the parade, we would come home and put our tree up. Such good memories!! Anyway, Camden loved the parade this year. He waved at every single float and was a trooper in the cold weather. It was a great parade--loved the band playing and dancing to the Grinch song.

This one is great! Camden & I were going inside the firehouse to get a cookie (well 2 for Camden, and 2 mini doughnuts!). Brookie wanted to come and off we went. Camden said "I'll hold her hand" and he held her hand the entire time. It was so sweet!! He also made friends with Brooke's friend Sienna. She was entertained by him and he loved her! He's going to be such a good big brother!!

Camden the Big Brother!

Camden is going to be a big brother!!!!!!!! I had a doctor's appointment last week and it was confirmed!! I'm pregnant and due in June. We told Camden one night last week and he was very excited. His main question was how is the baby going to get out!!! I showed him the picture of the sonogram and he said: "Is that your insides?". It was so funny! He had his heart set on a brother but over the weekend he decided he wanted a sister. I'm sure it will change many times before June!! I'm so excited to be giving him a sibling, someone to grow up with and create an incredible bond with (I hope). I think he's going to be a great big brother!!!

We found out on Dad's birthday! We gave these to him -- what a surprise!! Notice there are 2 different brands. I was tired of wasting money on the expensive tests that were always negative so I started buying Wal-Mart brands. Once the Wal-Mart brand turned positive, Russell went straight to CVS to buy an "official" brand. :)

Camden looked so handsome this morning before church that I had to snap a couple pictures. He loves it when we spike his hair--sadly it didn't last very long today.

Happy Halloween!!

Camden had so much fun on Halloween! All day he kept asking if it was time yet. Finally, it was time to get dressed up and go trick or treating.

Sick, sick, sick...

We've had a sick household the past few days. Camden started off with a temperature, cold and runny nose on Wednesday. That only worsened so I decided to take him to the doctor on Thursday. By the time of his appointment, I had a temperature, croupy cough, headache, aches, chills, sweats, etc so I decided to go as well. Turns out Camden had a virus and he was to continue on his motrin for a few days. I tested negative for the flu (which is only 50% accurate!!) and was sent home with no medicine at all. A couple hours later, I was feeling 10x worse and was the sickest I have ever felt in my life. I called another doctor and they said that since I had all the symptoms of the flu that they would call me in some Tamiflu. Once my sweet mother-in-law dropped that off at my door, I started feeling a little better but not much. About an hour after I took the first pill, I started vomiting (which can be a symptom of the swine flu along with everything else I had).

Camden was feeling pretty good all this time except for his cough and runny nose. I was in tears I was so sick!!! Didn't sleep or eat for pretty much 2 days. My headache finally went away (that was the worst part) yesterday but I had no energy to even walk around. Today I'm feeling mostly better except for the no energy part and a general sick feeling.

I sure hope that's the last time the flu (whichever kind I had) enters this house!! I'm praying that no one else gets this!! Russell and Camden took such good care of me though! My boys are the best!!!!!

Lost in the corn maze...

We went to Layman's Farm on Sunday to tackle the corn maze. It was a lot of fun however we got very lost in the corn maze. We had a map and clues but it was still very hard to find our way around. Add in 2 kids who insisted on picking up corn and a little girl who slept in her stroller for almost the entire maze, and you can imagine how we were ready to get out of there.
